On Thursday's Backchat we're talking about living standards of the territory's ethnic minorities. The Equal Opportunities Commission is calling on the government to take steps to improve the job prospects of people from minority communities after a recent report detailed high levels of poverty. Among South Asians, the poverty rate in 2016 stood at 23 percent. Most of those affected were working in low-paid jobs. A lack of proficiency in Chinese and English in some cases was cited as one factor. So what should be done to support people from ethnic minority groups in terms of education and employment? Leave a message, or email us with your thoughts at email@example.com, or call us on 23388266. After 9.20, stray dog shelters face a funding shortfall.
