Obesity and Healthiness / Police crackdown on jaywalking

On Monday's Backchat, an unhealthy city. The latest large scale study by the Department of Health shows more than half of adults are overweight or obese, we don't eat enough vegetables and have too much salt. 28% have high blood pressure.  Where only a third of us drank alcohol 15 years ago, that number has rocketed to more than 60%. Are we so unhealthy, what's changing, and what can we do about it? Call us with your diagnosis and prescription on 23388266 or email backchat@rthk.hk. After 9.20, police crackdown on jaywalking.

Water Buffalos in Hong Kong / Trump's visit to China

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton and Mike Rowse

On Monday's Backchat, cattle. A plan to move stray cows from South Lantau to an uninhabited island has been resurrected, supported by some in the rural area, opposed by others. In the past three years, 70 cows have been moved to Sai Kung Country Park under a Capture-Sterilise-Relocate programme for stray cattle to control their population and reduce nuisance. Is this the right thing to do? Can the water buffalo of Lantau really remain, or are they a hazard? As Sai Kung develops will it be necessary to kick the cattle out of town? Call us on 23388266 or email backchat@rthk.hk. After 9.20, Donald Trump's adventures in Asia.
