I’m glad to welcome listeners of RTHK in our office of Consul General of Russia in HK. I’m ready to answer all the questions.
我感到荣幸，能够欢迎香港电台的听众一齐来到俄罗斯驻港总领事办公室，而我亦准备好回答所有的问题了。
1) Most significant festivals or cultural events in Russia?
俄罗斯有什么特色节日?
To begin with, I would like to say that Russia is a country with unique culture and history. And for your reference, the population of Moscow is more than 12 million people and we have around 380 theatres in Moscow and more than 400 museums. So if you go to Moscow, you can enjoy theatres and museums everyday and it's our tradition for people live in Moscow that they attend museums and theatres very often. Of course we have a lot of cultural events in Moscow, not only Moscow, but also other cities, from St. Petersburg to where we was talking. It's not far from here so it is the closest European city to Asia. I have just the list about the very important cultural events which we held in Moscow. For instance, every Spring we have Golden Mask Theatre Festival, brings together outstanding troops from all over Russia and another big event is Moscow Easter Festival held by Valery Gergiev, the very well-known musicians in here, in HK as well as on several occasions. Maybe for the musicians, the most famous event is International Tchaikovsky Competition among young students and artists. Also, we have very important and interesting event in each September called Military Music Festival held on the Red Square, the centre of Moscow. You can see parade, musical performance by military musicians and very interesting and I recommend to you watch it in TV and Youtube also. We have also another festival called International Music Festival, famous and genius performance in HK and numerous location as well. But not only music, we have events in other spheres, for example the International Book Fair. Moscow International Film Festival, every year is very famous. You can see also Chinese movies in this festival, and HK movies as well. If we go to other events, like International Air Show every year, there are many participants from different countries, from China and European countries because we are the country that produces aircrafts. So this is about cultural events and please come Moscow, you will enjoy all kind of events, you can go to theatres, Red Square, cinemas and it's very interesting and popular.
首先，我想讲俄罗斯是一个具有独特文化和历史的国家，单是莫斯科的人口就已经超过 1200万，而且我们更有380个影院及超过400个博物馆，所以当你来到莫斯科，就能够每天都可以到影院及博物馆参观，而这亦都是俄罗斯人传统的日常习惯。我们除了有很多活动在莫斯科举办外，亦有来自其他城市的，例如以圣彼得堡为例，就是最接近亚洲的欧洲城市。而我手上有一份清单涵盖了很多在莫斯科举办的文化活动，例如在春天举办的黄金面具戏剧节，汇聚了来自俄罗斯的出色军人前来观赏。另一个重要活动就是由著名音乐家Valery Gergiev于莫斯科复活节的表演。而且另一个吸引年青学生及音乐家的活动就是国际柴可夫斯基音乐比赛，而且我们还有一个非常有趣和重要的活动，名叫军事音乐节，每年都会在九月的莫斯科广场——红场举行，你将能够看到巡游表演，军事音乐家表演等，所以我建议大家可以在电视或者Youtube观看。此外，还有一个国际音乐节等。除了音乐外，还有国际书展。而每年举办的莫斯科国际电影节亦十分著名，你还能够欣赏中国和香港出品的电影。其他活动还包括有不同国家有份参与的国际航空展，因为我们亦是出产飞机的大国。所以我们欢迎大家来莫斯科旅游，你可以享受不同活动，例如去非常有名的红场参观，看电影、舞台剧等。
2) What are your favorite about HK culture?
你最喜欢香港的什么文化?
I’m for the first time in HK. I spent only two months here but nevertheless, I do know some facts about culture and history of China. Because in Russian school, we study Chinese culture, history and modern history and so we are just quite familiar with chinese paintings and other things. Of course I like to be here in HK and I like the sea view. Also HK is a beautiful one with the old traditions, it's all history and I like to have a walk around the street. The harbour is fantastic and it's a fantastic view from my window too.
我只是第一次来香港，并只度过了两个月，但我了解有关中国的文化和历史，因为在俄罗斯的学校里，我们会学习中国文化、历史及现代史，我们对于中国的艺术、绘画等都甚为了解。当然我喜欢留在香港，尤其是香港的海景。香港是一个美丽的地方，并具有传统特色、文化习俗，而且我亦喜欢在街头流连，香港的海港更是美轮美奂，尤其是从窗外的望到的景色。
3) National flower or any flowers you like from Russia?
你最喜欢的俄罗斯花朵或者俄罗斯的国花?
We have many flowers in Russia and we like it all because each flower represents part of Russia. It’s a very big country and has different flowers in the North, in the South, East or West. But we do not have a national flower in Russia unlike u have in HK. But maybe we can say that traditional symbol of Russia is the Daisy. It's very beautiful name and for us, it's a symbol for family, love, faithfulness and we celebrate in Russian July 8th, it's The Day of Saint Peter and Saint Fevronia. It’s the day of love and family and we can say that daisy is a flower used during this event. Daisy is a kind of symbol and no specific national flower.
在俄罗斯，我们有很多花朵。但我们全部也很喜欢，因为每一朵花都代表着俄罗斯的一部分，因为这是一个很大的国家，有来自五湖四海的品种。不过我们就没有像香港一样拥有自己的国花，但是我们传统的花卉象征就是雏菊。这是一个很美丽的名字，对我们来说，雏菊代表着家庭、爱、诚恳，而当我们俄罗斯在7月8日庆祝圣彼得和圣彼尔姆日，亦即是庆祝家庭和爱的节日的时候，就会用上雏菊，所以雏菊是我们的象征但就不属于国花。
4) Trendy Slangs?
俚语介绍？
Russian language is rather difficult and takes time. Today is November so we are going into December, we are going to celebrate New Year and Christmas., maybe it's a good time to mention how to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Russian. So we say С Рождеством means Merry Christmas, but I think it is difficult for Chinese to pronounce. So to put it in simple way, we say С Новым годом, and it's Happy New Year. We celebrate New Year twice because in the 1st of January and according to Chinese, so you can use this phrase twice a year, so merry Christmas is C Рождеством.
俄罗斯语言有点难学，并且需要时间才能学好。现在是11月份，代表着我们即将踏入12月，即是庆祝新年和圣诞节的日子，所以不如让我教大家如何用俄语说圣诞和新年快乐。当我们说С Рождеством ，就是代表圣诞快乐，但因为对于中国人来说颇为困难，所以我教大家一个较为简单的版本， С Новым годом亦即是新年快乐，因为我们一年内会庆祝两次新年，包括1月1日和中国的农历新年，所以你能够一年两次都用得上。
5) Wrapping Up
Dear friends, I just want to make some announcement. This year, we have important event in HK which called Russian culture Season and during the start in October, and will go through November and December, we have a lot of interesting cultural events on the occasion. You can attend them. It's picture exhibition, some theatre performances and many other interesting things and in the November, we have Russian Charity Ball here , so please come and join us because it’s a charity ball. We will gather some money for the tickets and send the tickets to Moscow to Russian fund to help children with cancer. It's for the 10th time that we are going to organize this event in HK.
亲爱的朋友，我想在此作一个宣传，今年的10月开始至12月，我们会在香港举办一连串重要的活动，名叫俄罗斯文化季节，并有很多有趣的文化活动举办，欢迎大家参与，例如有摄影展覧、舞台剧表演及其他有趣的活动举行。而在11月，我们就会举办一个俄罗斯慈善舞会，所以欢迎大家参与，因为我们会为俄罗斯患癌的小朋友筹款，而且这已经是我们第十次在港举办这个有意义的活动了。
