香港大事 (Hong Kong Major Events)： SPEECH BY T.A. BIRCH IN HK CLUB ON BROADCASTING IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST
Following the official opening of Broadcasting House in 1969 in Broadcast Drive, T.A. Birch, who was acting director of broadcasting, gave a speech on the subject "Broadcasting and the Public Interest". He explained the role of RTHK and its aims as a public service broadcaster.
