Student Concert Hall aims to enhance the pleasure of music-making among students and cultivate the interest in music appreciation in the general community. This programme has been organized partially in response to the spread of COVID-19.
「学界音乐厅」旨在提高同学在演奏／演唱上的乐趣，推动大众对音乐欣赏的兴趣，我们亦希望这节目能有助大众积极面对2019冠状病毒疫情。
This is not a competition or an exam. There are neither prizes nor trophies. We believe that one of the biggest rewards to aspiring musicians is to be able to SHARE their love of music with music lovers, while being free from the stress of having to win, or to pass. That being said, an adjudication process is essential to select the pool of talents to appear in this programme series.
这并不是一个比赛或考试，也不设奖品或奖杯。我们相信若有志乐手／歌者能够放下必须胜出或合格的心情，与爱乐者分享演出会是最大的喜悦。虽然如此说，我们总需要一个甄选过程，以决定那些参加者可在节目中亮相。
Upload each of your performance clips to YouTube and set it as ‘unlisted’. Name the video title as ‘Name of composer/title of work/performer(s)’. Then copy the URL of the video and paste the link onto the electronic application form. Should your performance(s) be chosen, you will be asked to provide audio file(s) of selected work(s) to Radio 4 for broadcast. You will also need to show proof of your student status for the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 academic year for verification purpose.
参加者须在「学界音乐厅」报名表内填写正确资料，并将自己的演出片段透过报名表提交香港电台第四台（下称第四台）。参加者须把每首乐曲的演奏片段上载到YouTube，并将浏览权限设定为「不公开」然后将影片标题命名为「作曲家名称／乐曲名称／演出者名称」，将影片连结填写在报名表上。若参加者的演出获邀在第四台播放，我们会联络参加者，参加者须提交该演出的声音档案，及2019-2020或2020-2021年度的学生证明文件，以兹确认。
The applicant has to declare in the application form that the performance in the recording has been given by him/her/the said ensemble or orchestra. It is the applicant’s responsibility to clear the performing rights of works if required by composers, lyricists and/or copyright owners. If score rental is needed, the cost should be borne by the applicant. Each mobile phone number may only submit ONE application.
参加者须在报名表中声明片段中的演出者是其本人，并已向伴奏／伴奏小组／伴奏乐团取得录音的播放权限。若某作品须版权持有人的授权方可演出，参加者须负责取得相关演出授权。乐谱的租赁费用亦须由参加者自费安排。每个手提电话号码只可以提交一份报名申请。
Subsequent to adjudication, audio recordings of selected student artists will be broadcast in the Radio 4 programme series - Student Concert Hall《学界音乐厅》, and uploaded onto RTHK’s website. On top of music, sound bites from interviews of selected students may also appear in the programmes.
通过甄选的音乐作品，将会在第四台的《学界音乐厅》节目中播出，并可在香港电台网站节目重温。除音乐作品外，参加者的访问或会出现在节目中。
This is a programme with student performers in mind. There is no age limit. All full-time students who have a HKID card and are studying in a recognised school or educational institute in Hong Kong or abroad can submit an application. Recent graduates in the 2019-20 academic year are also welcome.
这个节目以学生为对象，年龄不限。所有持有香港身份证及在认可的本地或海外学校或教育机构就读的全日制学生均可报名。在2019-20学年毕业的学生亦欢迎参加。
We welcome both solos and groups. We also expect if a piece is usually accompanied, the applicant should perform it with accompaniment. Having said that, applicants are reminded to be cautious of the risk of infection, and to observe appropriate social distancing while producing their video clips. While an accompanist does not have to be a student, all members of an ensemble have to be students and fulfill the requirements listed in part IV.
不论是独奏／唱或以小组形式参加，我们都欢迎。若作品有伴奏部份，参加者须联同伴奏演绎作品。为了减低传染病毒的风险，参加者在录制影片时须特别小心，并保持一定的社交距离。伴奏不须是学生，但小组的全部成员均须为学生，并须符合本章程第四部份的列明。
The recording should be an audio and visual clip. Only the audio part will be used for broadcast in the programme. The video should show clearly the applicant who is performing, the musical instrument(s) and the accompanist(s) (if any) in reasonable visual balance.
节目播放时只选取声音部份，但参加者提交的影片仍须清晰显示参加者演奏时的模样，而参加者与其乐器及伴奏者（如有）在画面上亦须有合理的比例。
Each piece or each movement should be performed through without editing. Clips submitted do not need to be current, old recordings are acceptable. We even take clips which have been shared on social media. Duration is flexible too. It can range from a single short piece, to a collection of pieces, or a multi-movement complete work. The maximum total duration for a submission is 35 minutes.
每首作品或每个乐章须以未经剪辑的连续演奏方式拍摄。提交的影片新旧皆可，曾在社交媒体分享的亦可以。片段可以是一首短曲，以至一系列乐／歌曲或多乐章作品，唯提交的所有作品总长度不能超过35分钟。
Applicants may play or sing works from the fine music repertoire. Western classical, jazz, Chinese or world music are all welcome.
参加者须以乐器或声乐，演绎西方或中国美乐作品。爵士或世界音乐皆可。
The submitted clips should be in stereo, and of acceptable broadcast quality in terms of performance and recording standards. Since ‘School Concert Hall’ has a strong community involvement nature, while some clips may have been recorded in studios, we also expect to receive submissions of homemade clips with decent recording quality.
提交的片段须以立体声并以可接受的广播质素演出及录制。由于「学界音乐厅」属社区参与性质，虽然可能有部份拍摄会在录音室进行，我们也期待收到具合理录音及录影质素的自家制拍摄。
Radio 4 will decide on the list of ‘School Concert Hall’ performers. The decisions will be final.
入选「学界音乐厅」的参加者由第四台作最终决定。
Applicants should undertake to release the broadcast rights of the recordings to RTHK for unconditional and unlimited use. RTHK reserves the right to determine if the whole or any parts of the recording are to be or not to be broadcast.
参加者同意授权香港电台无条件及不限次数使用提交的声音档案。香港电台保留播放或不播放全部或部份声音档案的决定权。
RTHK reserves the right over the editing and processing of all submitted recordings.
香港电台保留对提交的所有声音档案的剪辑及处理权。
