Hong Kong wrapped up Day 10 of the Hangzhou Asian Games with a bronze medal - but with at least another four medals in squash to come, the SAR will achieve their best ever results at the tournament.
Cyclist Vincent Lau won a bronze medal in the men's individual time trial – Hong Kong's first ever Asian Games medal in the event.
His time of 50 minutes 17.76 seconds on the 40-kilmometre course was nearly 12 seconds slower than Xue Ming of China, who took silver.
Kazakhstan's Alexey Lutsenko secured gold with a time of just under 48 minutes and six seconds.
Hong Kong's 2018 bronze medallist Leung Wing-yee also competed in the women's individual time trial.
Unfortunately she failed to repeat that success; finishing in fourth in a little more than 25 minutes and 50 seconds for the 18-kilometre course.
That time put her fourteen seconds behind a cyclist from Kazakhstan.
"This is the same course as the national championships. I was faster this time by one and a half minutes. So I made improvements, but I'm rather unhappy about finishing fourth," Leung told HOY TV.
In squash, Hong Kong are set to bag four more medals, meaning the team will top the previous mark of 46 medals set five years ago.
That's because two women's singles players are in the semi-finals, and the SAR also reached the same stage in men's singles and mixed doubles.
Simmi Chan and Ho Tze-lok will face each other in the women's singles semi-finals, so Hong Kong will at least have a silver and a bronze. They both defeated their opponents 3-0 in the quarter-finals.
In mixed doubles, the pair of Wong Chi-him and Lee Ka-yi are through to the semi-finals after beating the other SAR duo, Edmond Tang and Tong Tsz-wing, 11-8, 11-8.
And in men's singles, Henry Leung beat Alex Lau 3-0 in another all-Hong Kong matchup, and his entrance to the semi-finals means the SAR will pocket at least one more bronze in the event.
The SAR's men's team are also in the semi-finals in bridge, meaning they've secured at least a bronze medal.
Hong Kong athletes have so far taken home six golds, 15 silvers and 24 bronzes, or 45 medals in total at the latest edition of the Games.
That's good for tenth place in the medal rankings so far, behind North Korea and Bahrain.
Team SAR bagged 46 medals in Jakarta in 2018.
After ten days of competition, China top the medals table, followed by Japan and South Korea.
