The government said on Thursday that some 100,000 doses of a new vaccine for the XBB variant of Covid-19 have arrived in Hong Kong.
The mRNA vaccine made by Pfizer is expected to be available from next month.
Officials said since there is a limited supply, they will arrange for the jabs to be first made available for people in high-risk groups, including the over 65s and care home residents.
Government advisers say the new vaccine will provide better protection than earlier versions.
