The executive director of the Travel Industry Council, Fanny Yeung, says there will not be a proper revival of Hong Kong’s tourism industry until the government scraps medical surveillance and reopens to the mainland market. Yeung said she welcomed the easing of Amber code rules on inbound tour groups, allowing them to visit attractions and restaurants. People who are hoping to receive the newest iPhone this holiday season may have to wait a little longer as Apple said Covid restrictions at the largest iPhone factory have "temporarily impacted" production there. Hong Kong’s only Sikh temple officially reopens on Tuesday at the conclusion of a three-day ceremony to mark the rebirth of the Khalsa Diwan in Wan Chai. The temple has been at the location for over a century, and has been completely rebuilt over the past five years. It is not only physically bigger, but its services will also expand to include free Cantonese classes and medical consultations. Nurses across the UK have voted to strike in their first national action over a pay dispute. The strike ballot among more than 300,000 members of the Royal College of Nursing was the biggest in the union's 106-year history. The prospect of hundreds of thousands of medical workers staging a walk-out coincides with workers from several industries, including the rail network, having taken strike action over the last few months as pay rises fail to keep pace with double-digit inflation.
