Election authorities rejects priority for elderly voters Listen
Election officials have rejected calls from the government and pro-Beijing parties to give elderly people and others with special requirements priority when it comes to voting in September's Legco polls. The Electoral Affairs Commission says for the sake of fairness and equality, every voter will have to queue up like normal in the upcoming polls. Professor Kenneth Chan runs an election observation project at Baptist University's Comparative Governance and Policy Research Centre. Ben Tse asked him what he thought of the Commission's decision:
