Most restrictions will be dropped – no more quotas and pre-departure Covid test for travellers; and no booking is required to cross the border.

But those who have been overseas in the seven days will still need a PCR test done 48 hours before departure from Hong Kong or Macau to the mainland.

All border crossing points, including Lo Wu, Heung Yuen Wai-Liantang and Lok Ma Chau, will reopen.

After 9am, we’ll look at the new “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign that’s aimed at attracting vis-itors to the city, with more than 500,000 free plane tickets to be handed out and a million vouchers for tourists.
