Economic growth in the US grew more than initially forecast in the third quarter. GDP rose by an annualised 2.1% compared with the first estimate of 1.9%.

China’s Yingkou Coastal Bank has become the fifth regional lender in the last few months to suffer a run on deposits as it struggles to fund itself. The PBOC's 2019 Financial Stability Report put 586 banks, or 13% of the total number of China's lenders, in the “high risk” category.
