Covid-19: Animals / Academic year

2020-04-07
On Tuesday's Backchat, we're talking about caring for our pets during the coronavirus outbreak. How vulnerable are cats and dogs to contracting Covid-19? And now comes the news that a tiger at a zoo in New York has tested positive for the virus. Earlier a pet cat in Hong Kong and another in Belgium were also found to have contracted the virus, as well as two dogs here. We'll talk to a vet with the SPCA to find out more. That's before 9am. In the second part of the programme, we'll discuss what's likely to happen in the remainder of the academic year, with the extended school closure continuing, many examinations cancelled, and uncertainties surrounding this month's Diploma of Secondary Education exams. Let us know your thoughts. Leave a message here, or email us backchat@rthk.hk, or give us a call on 23388266.
