We plan to introduce the situation of ethnic minorities (mainly the Pakistanis, Nepalese and Indians) in Hong Kong, so as to bring them closer to the local citizens. We also hope to draw the attention of interested parties to the social integration problems of ethnic minorities. The programme covers various topics about the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong, namely, their basic necessities and situations in daily life, characteristics of their culture and religion, their children's life on campus, their employment situation and participation in the society. We will invite guests who are concerned about the issues of ethnic minorities for interview, particularly from the perspective of policy study and advocacy. It is hoped that this programme will arouse more concern for ethnic minorities and facilitate their integration in the society.
