With a history of over 50 years in HK, Gurkhas army played a significant role in the development of HK, since 1948 Gurkha was stationed in HK, providing security and protection to make HK's economy stable, leading it on the path to the world city it is today. Even after the retirement, HK handover to China in 1997 many Ex-Gurkha continue to work in the security to safeguard HK. The objective of this program is to bring the stories of Ex-Gurkhas and their descendants who are in the security field. It will highlight how they provide the security service and the importance of this profession in the social and economic development of HK. This program will also help to connect HK Nepalese and develop a sense of belonging and identity with HK.
