The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe中文译名为狮子、女巫、魔衣橱，由 C.S. Lewis 所写，于1950年出版，是纳尼亚传奇系列中的第一部，也是最广为人知的一部。

 

“⋯As a result, you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will be older still. But some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again. You can then take it down from some upper shelf, dust it, and tell me what you think of it. I shall probably be too deaf to hear, and too old to understand a word you say but I shall still be”

因此，你已经过了阅读童话的年龄，等到这本书印刷装订完毕，你还会更大一些。 但是总有一天你会长大，并重新开始读童话故事。 到那时候，你就可以从某个高高的书架上把它取下来，掸去灰尘，然后告诉我你对它的看法。 我可能太聋了而听不见，太老了听不懂你说的话，但我还是很乐意倾听你的感想。

 

这是故事开始前的献词，Lewis 以幽默而温柔的笔调告诉谊女 Lucy： 

「你已经长大，不再适合童话」（"too old for fairy tales"）——这是现实的成长。 

「但总有一天，你会老到重新读童话」（"old enough to start reading fairy tales again"）——这是智慧的成熟。

 

“Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight, 

At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more, 

When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death, 

And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”

错误将被纠正，当Aslan现身， 

他的吼声响起，悲伤将不复存在， 

当他龇牙咧嘴，寒冬即赴幽冥， 

而他振动鬃毛时，春天将再度降临。

 

在韵律上，这首诗采用 AABB的押韵结构（sight/right, more/roar, death/teeth, again/mane），使句子朗朗上口，像一首古老的预言诗或童谣。在节奏上，每行大致符合抑扬格（iambic）的节奏，读起来庄重而有力。 

 

在象征意义上，Aslan 的降临代表「逆转」：

 - "Wrong will be right" —— 正义的恢覆，暗示白女巫统治下的纳尼亚是「颠倒的世界」。 

 - "winter meets its death" —— 冬天象征邪恶、停滞（白女巫的统治），而 Aslan 的到来带来春天，即新生与救赎。
