Jockey Club Cancer Survivorship Care Project / CUHK study on psoriatic arthritis / Brics summit in Rio

On Wednesday's Backchat, we first talked about a large-scale cancer support programme by the Jockey Club Charities Trust, which provided assistance to some 36,000 cancer patients and their givers since its launch ten years ago. A study by the The University of Hong Kong has confirmed the Jockey Club Cancer Survivorship Care Project to be effective in helping patients and their families, and we found out more about it.
We then remained in the medical field and learned about a breakthrough treatment for joint damage from a form of arthritis.
After the break, we shifted our attention to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where the Brics summit concluded. Launch of premium taxi fleets / Voluntary reporting of unauthorised structures

    主持人:Danny Gittings and Raymond Yeung

In the first half of Thursday's programme, we’re talking about the five new taxi fleets offering premium services that have just been unveiled. With more than 3,500 vehicles, the first batch are expected to hit the roads later this month.

The new taxi fleets will accept different means of payment and boast a range of premium features such as Wi-Fi, phone charging and safety monitoring systems. So will this improve the reputation of the city’s taxi industry? And are consumers ready to pay a premium for better service?
In the last aprt of the show, we talk about proposals to bring back the mechanism for the voluntary reporting of unauthorised building works in village houses.
