US-China Trade War / Robin's Nest as Country Park

    主持人:Hugh Chiverton

On Friday's Backchat, the US-China trade war. Panasonic , a Japanese Corporation has announced it will suspend component shipments to Huawei, following in the footsteps of Google and others. This is the latest escalation in a broadening conflict, which has spread beyond tarfiffs to embargos, threats of boycotts and more. Should recent actions by the U.S. in the South China Sea be seen as part of the same strategy? Or American attitudes to events in Hong Kong? Do you agree with comments that there is a real threat of a Cold War, - a battle for global economic, technological and military dominance? Will China fight back, and if so, how?  Where will the rest of the world stand in such a conflict?

After 9.20, should Robin's Nest be recognized as country park?

Leave a message below and we’ll try and read it out on air. Leave a message below, email us at backchat@rthk.hk or call us on 23388266.
