Weekday programme Morning Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from earnest current affairs to cookery to the arts.
Catch it live:
Monday to Friday 9.30am - 1pm
Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. Today is officially the first day of the Summer Olympics, so at 9.40 Danny Hicks will join us live from Tokyo for the first of what will be his daily Morning Brew reports. These games will not be fading from memory anytime soon, but let’s hope it’s more for what happens “on the field” rather than anything else. Danny will be bringing you the latest throughout. After 12 we’re off to the movies with our MB critic James Marsh. As always you can join in with Marshy Movie Time on Facebook live.
Good morning and welcome to Fursday on Morning Brew. At 11.10 our vet Dr. David Gething will be with us for his weekly rounds. Today, on the back of an interesting listener email, he wants to talk about never ruling out the possibility of a heart condition in an elderly animal. Looks can be deceiving. The Tokyo Olympics (and our coverage of it with Danny) starts tomorrow. Today after 12 we'll find out a little about Hong Kong's Olympics history and how our top athletes are trained these days. Tricia Leahy is the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Sports Institute, and she will be with us for a chat.
