Chinese mainland's strengthening partnership with ASEAN

This week, we’ll explore the strengthening partnership between China and neighbouring countries, particularly members of ASEAN—the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
China has been the bloc’s largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, while ASEAN has been China’s top trading partner for the past five years. And about two months ago in November, the two sides upgraded the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area to a “3.0 version”, signalling a push to future-proof Asia’s trade flows. What's the history behind this relationship? What opportunities are on the horizon?

Weekly Roundup / 29 new undergraduate majors / employment opportunities for mums

    主持人:CM Chan and Chloe Feng

This week, we explore 29 new undergraduate majors on the mainland, that include artificial intelligence, international cruise management and music technology.
These programs aim to address China’s “most urgent strategic needs” and equip skilled professionals for the country’s changing technological landscape. So why are these new majors so important?
And as we celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, CM Chan and Chloe Feng will discuss the rise of “jobs for mums” - family-friendly positions promoted by local governments across the mainland. What are these roles, and can they help women achieve a better work-life balance?
Tune in this Saturday at 8:30am on Radio 3 to find out!
