Maestro Honeck juxtaposes the evocation of Beethoven’s love of nature in his Pastoral Symphony with his own Suite from Strauss’s Elektra. Set against the mythic backdrop of Mycenae in the years after the Trojan War, the Suite further paints the seething world of Elektra, Clytemnestra, and Orestes through its music of psychological violence, dark obsession, and explosive orchestral brilliance.

指挥家汉力克将贝多芬《田园交响曲》中对大自然的眷恋，与其亲自编配的李察．史特劳斯《埃莱克特拉》组曲并列呈现。组曲以特洛伊战争后迈锡尼的神话时代为背景，藉着极具心理暴力、深沉执念与剧烈管弦交响交织的音符，勾勒出埃莱克特拉、克丽达妮斯特拉与欧雷斯特三人之间惊心动魄的情感纠葛。
