This is an adaptation to the true story about
three teenage girls, Wing, Camay and Faye, who meet at a rave party.
All three are distressed by their emotional problems, and try to
indulge themselves with drugs, loud music, shouting, and dancing,
to try to relief themselves of their emotional pains.
Under the hallucination drugs and alcohol,
they are in ecstasy and are free from all troubles and worries ...
yet this happiness is short-lived and has a price to be paid. Is
this their only way out ? Who can help them if they do not help
themselves ?
We intercut the drama with interviews of
the three girls, who express their true inner feelings of loneliness,
despair and their disappointment towards reality. In these interviews
they are truthful in telling us about the exhilaration as well as
the agony experienced after taking drugs.
There are also open discussions of a group
of teenagers who, after viewing the drama, gave us yet another insight
to the problem and offered us a glimpse of hope for the future.
By including these open discussions we hope to get a better picture
of how drug abuse has become an increasing problem amongst teenagers
worldwide. We are left to ponder whether teenagers have forgotten
all moral values or have we, as adults forgotten how to care for
their feelings, which are often so fragile.
