曾为小明星作伴奏的粤乐家王粤生先生(1919-1989)，精通多种中西乐器，同时亦是一位杰出的作曲家，作品超过一百首，其中《红烛泪》、《银塘吐艳》、《怀旧》、《槟城艳》等更是上佳之作。今次王粤生先生在节目教授唱二王的技巧。

第五台在1982-84年间的录音节目，上半部份由粤乐家王粤生先生(1919-1989)教授合尺首板及滚花之唱法，是初学者的入门技巧；下半部份是撰曲家叶绍德先生(1929-2009)介绍由林家声及李宝莹主唱的《红叶题诗》的乐曲分析，包括唱腔及曲牌的设计，修辞技巧等。此珍贵的录音令两位一代宗师能把他们对粤剧的知识留给后辈，十分难得。
