The SAR is mopping up after Mangkhut, with hundreds of fallen trees needing removal and flooding in low-lying areas, officials said on Monday.

There were 262 reports of fallen trees.

The Drainage Services Department said it received 46 confirmed flooding cases, and the Civil Enginering and Development Department and Lands Department said there had been one landslide report.

A total of 1,539 people used temporary shelters opened for the duration of Mangkhut, the strongest storm to hit the SAR in decades and the world’s most powerful storm this year.

The Hospital Authority said that as of Monday morning a total of 391 people - 219 men and 172 women – sought medical treatment at public hospitals.
