Police are investigating an accident in which a truck driver died in the early hours of Wednesday when he was thrown from his vehicle in a crash.

The truck rammed into railings on Tsuen Wan Road near Chai Wan Kok Cooked Food Market shortly after midnight when the driver apparently lost control.

The 66-year-old man fell from the vehicle and was found on Hoi Shing Road, which runs parallel with Tsuen Wan Road. He had suffered multiple injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

Traffic was congested on Wednesday morning as the slow lane of Tsuen Wan Road, near where the accident happened, remained closed.
