Flights between Hong Kong and the mainland, Southeast Asia and Japan have gone up significantly as air travel recovers after the pandemic. The data was released after authorities here said the aviation industry's recovery was in line with expectations. Natale Ching reports:

Lawmaker wants roadmap to universal suffrage

Third Side lawmaker Tik Chi-yuen has called on John Lee to come up with a roadmap that leads to universal suffrage in his upcoming policy address. The lawmaker says a democratic system will give people hope about the city and in turn encourage them to give birth. He spoke to Kimmy Lau:
Public sector doctors need better "prospects"

The vice president of the Public Doctors' Association says he hopes there can be gradual reforms to prevent middle-aged specialists leaving for the private sector. Dr Herbert Kwok says such doctors may feel frustrated at having to continue working on the frontline and on overnight calls, with little prospect of promotion. Dr Kwok also told Samantha Butler that there may be an increasing trend of doctors leaving, as the private sector started expanding once the Covid pandemic finished:
Man dies while inspecting crashed vehicle
