Police have arrested six people, including social media influencers, as part of a probe into suspected fraud involving the cryptocurrency exchange, JPEX. The four men and two women are suspected of conspiracy to defraud. Police say they have received more than 1,400 reports about the matter, involving $1 billion. Kelly Yu reports:

Lawmaker Johnny Ng says he hopes authorities can publish a watchlist of cryptocurrency exchanges that are operating in Hong Kong without a licence, as well as those that are in the process of applying for one. He praised regulations introduced in June over cryptocurrency exchanges, but says he fears some platforms may be using the one-year grace period - to apply for a licence - to operate improperly. Rosaryhill Secondary School has announced it will close in three years because of falling enrolment and financial difficulties. A spokesperson for the school has said it has seen a six percent drop in student numbers in the past four years. Medical-sector lawmaker David Lam says a recent survey by the DAB party shows many long Covid sufferers are not seeking medical treatment. The survey of around 7,000 people found 55 percent did not seek treatment for long Covid, while 20 percent had not heard of the term. Dr Lam said it showed a general lack of awareness that the lingering Covid symptoms could be treated. He told Janice Wong that the government should do more to promote the condition so people knew when and where to seek help:

Five Americans jailed for years in Iran are flying back to the United States, after being freed in a controversial prisoner swap. The US is releasing five Iranian prisoners in return, and has allowed the transfer of US$6 billion of frozen Iranian funds. Critics of the deal say it will encourage more hostage taking.
