Six arrested for suspected fraud over JPEX exchange  Listenfacebook
Police have arrested six people, including social media influencers, as part of a probe into suspected fraud involving the cryptocurrency exchange, JPEX. The four men and two women are suspected of conspiracy to defraud. Police say they have received more than 1,400 reports about the matter, involving $1 billion. Kelly Yu reports:
Lawmaker calls for watchlist of unlicensed crypto firms  Listenfacebook
Lawmaker Johnny Ng says he hopes authorities can publish a watchlist of cryptocurrency exchanges that are operating in Hong Kong without a licence, as well as those that are in the process of applying for one. He praised regulations introduced in June over cryptocurrency exchanges, but says he fears some platforms may be using the one-year grace period - to apply for a licence - to operate improperly. Ng has been helping some JPEX investors who are trying to access their funds. He spoke to Samantha Butler:

The Tourism Board says it will be distributing dining coupons and offering discounted open-top bus tours as part of the Night Vibes Hong Kong campaign. The campaign was launched on Thursday, to encourage more local spending in the evenings. Damon Pang reports:

Rosaryhill Secondary School has announced it will close in three years because of falling enrolment and financial difficulties. A spokesperson for the school has said it has seen a six percent drop in student numbers in the past four years. The school's staff, students and parents have expressed disappointment over the development, and lawmaker Eunice Yung, who is an alumna of the school, has urged the government to provide assistance. National security police have arrested a man on suspicion of posting messages on social media with seditious intent. Officers seized electronic communication devices from his home. Elvis Yu reports:
Survey shows lack of awareness of long Covid  Listenfacebook
Medical-sector lawmaker David Lam says a recent survey by the DAB party shows many long Covid sufferers are not seeking medical treatment. The survey of around 7,000 people found 55 percent did not seek treatment for long Covid, while 20 percent had not heard of the term. Dr Lam said it showed a general lack of awareness that the lingering Covid symptoms could be treated. He told Janice Wong that the government should do more to promote the condition so people knew when and where to seek help:

The Foreign Ministry says top diplomat Wang Yi is in Russia for security talks, the latest in a series of high-level visits and phone calls between the two countries. Aaron Tam reports:
Evergrande shares plunge after staff detained  Listenfacebook
Shares in embattled developer China Evergrande Group plunged 25 percent in early morning trade on Monday before rebounding to close less than two percent lower. That is after mainland police detained some staff at its wealth management unit, suggesting a new investigation that could add to the property company's woes. Wendy Wong reports:
US citizens freed in controversial prisoner swap with Iran  Listenfacebook
Five Americans jailed for years in Iran are flying back to the United States, after being freed in a controversial prisoner swap. The US is releasing five Iranian prisoners in return, and has allowed the transfer of US$6 billion of frozen Iranian funds. Critics of the deal say it will encourage more hostage taking. Paul Rogers, Professor of Peace Studies at Bradford University in the UK, told AnneMarie Evans that the prisoner swap was two years in the making:
