Welcome to Fryday on Morning Brew. After 10 we’re serving a juicy, sweet slice of Chef R.J. Asher, pie man to the stars. Chef Jason Black (Empire HK) has found a small area on his back that hasn’t been tattooed, so he’s off to tend to that. It’s wonderful to welcome RJ back to the studio. After 12 it’s movie time with critic James Marsh and his regular Friday autopsy. This week: Aladdin, Brightburn, and Long Shot. Join him (and RJ) on Facebook Live. (9:30am-1pm, email email@example.com )
Welcome to Friday on Morning Brew. After 10 today we meet Claire Martin. Claire was born to Chinese parents, she’s in her late 50s, and two days after she was born in Hong Kong in 1960 she was left on a doorstep in old Shek Kip Mei...to fate. Two years later she, and some others like her, were sent to England to be adopted. That’s where she has remained ever since. Claire is in Hong Kong right now as part of her long quest to join the dots. Chef Jason Black is having a week off, but we will still get into some food after 11, as It’s just about tome for the culinary festival Taste of Hong Kong to happen. We’ll be joined on the line for all the details by Taste’s Culinary Event Director Wilson Chung. After 12, we’re off to the movies with James Marsh, reviewing Escape Room, Triple Frontier, and On the Basis of Sex. Join us if you can on Facebook Live.
