Presenting the first major exhibition of Guo’s work produced in China, M+ will showcase Guo’s key collections and early designs, highlighting her unique career connecting China and the rest of the world and the cultural symbols created through her sophisticated and visually dazzling practice.

“The Origins of Chinese Civilisation” provides one of the most comprehensive overviews of the origins of Chinese civilisation in recent years. With new historical and cultural insights, this exhibition is divided into three sections, with each presenting the origins, formation, and development of Chinese civilisation respectively. It features around 110 rare archaeological finds and significant treasures on loan from 14 major cultural institutions in Hong Kong and the Mainland, including 16 grade-one national treasures. These spectacular loans represent nine archaeological cultures and nine major archaeological sites across the country. They come from a variety of regions, including Beijing, Gansu, Liaoning, Anhui, Zhejiang, Shandong, Hubei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, and Hong Kong. Nearly all the loans are displayed in Hong Kong for the first time.
Each Mid-Autumn, Tai Hang comes alive as the iconic Fire Dragon Dance parades through the streets. Tracing its roots to the 19th century, when residents united to perform the ritual dance against a plague, this tradition lives on through the community’s unwavering spirit.
Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong, organized by Informa Markets Jewellery, will continue to adopt the “one fair, two venues” mode. The exhibition from September 16 to 20 at AsiaWorld Expo will feature all types of jewellery materials. The exhibition from September 18 to 22 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre will display various finished jewellery, packaging supplies and technical solutions.
Road to ULTRA Hong Kong has been upgraded to ULTRA Hong Kong, which will be held at the Central Harbourfront event space on September 14. Originating from Miami in the US, ULTRA is known as the world’s three major electronic dance music festivals.
