The group is planning to take part in the rural representative election in January, and to reform rural politics and fight against village patriarchs and the Heung Yee Kuk who long hold the political power in hand over the rural areas in the New Territories. What do they want exactly, and what's the state of rural politics? Should they swear to uphold the Basic Law and could some members be disqualified? Will it bring unwelcome urban-style politics to villages?
