He adds that the economic impact will be limited if we see a resolution soon. Khoon Goh, Head of Asia Research, ANZ, agrees that markets are pricing in a deal, but says it remains hard to predict the longer lasting economic impact, with the full brunt yet to hit.

Mel Siew, Portfolio Manager, Muzinich and Co agrees there has been frontloading, and we may expect to see the numbers soften in April and May. He goes on to the potential for careful consideration to come around tariffs on significant product categories, as we have already seen on items like phones.
