After a whole year of preparation by the participating teams, it’s finally the day of Robocon Hong Kong 2024. Over a hundred tertiary students exuded their youthful vigour and passion for robots, striving to qualify for the international competition held in Vietnam as the representative of Hong Kong, China!
This episode will first introduce the remaining team, Team E, then feature rounds of intense robot battles from the quarter-final onwards. It will conclude by revealing to the audience which team won and represented Hong Kong, China in the competition in Vietnam, endeavouring to be the strongest team in the Asia-Pacific region!

Episode 4: Fighting to the End
At the ABU Robocon 2024, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) represented Hong Kong, China to compete for the championship in Vịnh Hạ Long, Vietnam together with competitors from the other 11 countries and regions.
One month before the departure, the Hong Kong team raced against the clock to level up the robots to their limits, with a view to achieving the best result for the Hong Kong team. For the institutions which had lost in the local competition, they also put aside their defeat to cheer for the Hong Kong team, wishing the Hong Kong team a speedy success.
The arena in Vietnam was studded with strong competitors, with the robots from the national team, Japanese team and Vietnamese team being especially outstanding. As the 1st runner-up of the previous ABU Robocon, the CUHK hoped to win again this year, and achieve remarkable results on the international stage. Episode 2: Fighting to Win (Part 2)
The theme of the 21st Robocon Hong Kong was developed by Vietnam, the host country of ABU Robocon this year, which was inspired by the famous terraced cultivation in the country when designing the series of robotics tasks.
Local tertiary students implanted artificial intelligence (AI) applications in their robots and trained them for sowing, transplanting, and harvesting. Episode 1: Fighting to Win (Part 1)
The 21st Robocon Hong Kong was successfully completed in June this year. For the Hong Kong region, a total of 14 teams from eight tertiary institutions had competed for a place at the international competition!
The theme of this year’s competition was developed by Vietnam, the host country of ABU Robocon this year. The host country drew inspiration from its famous terraced cultivation when designing the series of robotic tasks, namely sowing, transplanting and harvesting. The focus of the competition was that one of the robots had to be fully automated. What were the levels of the robots that could be designed by our tertiary students?
