Resumption of Israeli strikes on Gaza / Release of JFK files
In the first part of Friday Backchat, we're discussing the resumption of Israel's strikes on Gaza, putting an end to a two-month ceasefire deal between the Hebrew State and Hamas.
The Israeli military has launched deadly airstrikes and sent troops back to the war-torn enclave, in a move that authorities say aims to remove the Islamist militant group from power and release the remaining 24 hostages.
In a defiant video, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that "negotiations will continue only under fire." While his most fervent supporters have praised the offensive, opposition parties and relatives of hostages took to the streets once again to denounce a move they argue might endanger the 24 remaining captives.
After the 9:30 news, we’ll delve into the mystery surrounding the assassination of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, following the release of the last batch of classified files related to his killing.
