    The Brew

    简介

    主持人:Phil Whelan

Every weekday from noon, The Brew is a chat and music show. Hosted by Phil Whelan, guests include regular contributors and drop-ins, who span topics from current affairs to cookery, sport, the arts, technology, and music... lots of music. For 19 years, Phil has presented 'Morning Brew', but now that we've moved to the lunchtime spot, all we need to change is the name. We have the same MB crew coming to you on the same days, and we're open for business... as usual.

Baron Wanchausen - Hong Kong music / Doug Woodring - A documentary called 'WASTED'

Happy Thursday. Welcome to The Brew. It's 'Brewed in HK' day today, with a special team effort from Mark and John Prymmer. Mark has chosen some great local tracks, but last minute can't be with us, so Baron Wanchausen will introduce them to you right out of the 12 news. Of course, he'll be telling you where to go and hear some great live music over the next few days as well. Then, at 1:25 our friend and marine eco-warrior Doug Woodring, from Ocean Recovery Alliance, is back on The Brew. He wants to invite you a screening of an awesome new documentary called 'WASTED'. It's an award-winning impact film, which opens our eyes to the simple truth hidden in plain sight: What we throw away, doesn't go away!

Morris Miselowski - Skype / Jarrod Watt - Aussie / Dr. Merrin Pearse and Dr. Benoit Guénard - Large charismatic animals

    主持人:Phil Whelan

Today on The Brew we cry "Help! the Skype is falling"... well, it's fallen, according to biz futurist Morris Miselowski. Yes, Skype had 21 years before irrelevance caught up with it. All it seemed to take was a nasty bug, and 'zooooom', off it went. But why? Join Morris for more at 12:10. At 12:40 Jarrod Watt brings you this week's Aussie stuff with his usual awesome soundtrack. Then, at 1:25 Dr. Merrin Pearse is with us, live from New Zealand. Today we welcome back Dr. Benoit Guénard, Director of the Hong Kong Biodiversity Museum, to talk about how most conservation funds go to large charismatic animals at the expense of 'neglected’ species. Join us on Facebook live for this chat.
ALSO... We're giving away more LIV GOLF tickets today. All you have to do is answer the easiest of golf questions. There will be a draw at the end of the programme... and off you go. You'll need to email your answer, along with your contact number to radio3@rthk.hk
