Paul and Carolyn (AKA the Pop Fugitives) are plotting to make their Escape every Sunday morning between 9 and 1.
Join them on the Sunday Escape to hear the best in new music, including three tracks from their album of the week, along with a carefully curated selection of classics, plus interviews with guests from all over the city and beyond. There’s also occasional live music in the studio and all the details of upcoming music events in Hong Kong.
On top of all that is “Biscuit Review”, now a Sunday Escape institution, a feature perfectly designed to complement the most eclectic mix of music on Radio 3.

On this week’s Sunday Escape Carolyn is flying solo as Paul’s away. As usual she'll have a huge stash of new albums to play music from, including records from Loren Kramar, Justice, Pet Shop Boys, The Fat White Family, Iron & Wine and St Vincent. Among the new singles there’s music from Girl and Girl, Honne, and Fred Roberts. There’s also a brand new cover version for the Sunday Cover Supplement, this time courtesy of David Byrne.
Joining Carolyn in the studio will be Gabriella Augustsson of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and she'll be talking about a Eurovision Dance Party taking place in Hong Kong on 11th May, which will celebrate the iconic music contest as well as the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s win back in 1974. You can expect a couple of Eurovision classics, as well as a discussion of those entrants who seem doomed to forever receive 'nil points'. All that, plus the Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz, and hopefully some biscuits!

Paul and Carolyn return to the studio for the latest Sunday Escape, with plenty of music including brand new tracks from Camera Obscura, Bnny, Young Jesus, Winnetka Bowling League, The Mysterines, and Chappell Roan. They’ll also be playing the debut single from newcomers The Itch and picking an album of the week, which may actually be an album of last week.
All of the usual features return, which means there’ll be a cover of a classic song (this week by Swamp Dogg and Jenny Lewis), a band which suffered when its label folded shortly after the release of its second album sweeps the nation, and there’s a brand new Super Clever Music Mystery Quiz. All that plus a live acoustic recording from a solo gig by one of Paul’s favourite artists and of course biscuits.
